Privacy Policy
Unpact ("we", "us") is a voice-first task capture app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what's needed to run the service, we don't sell your data, and we don't show ads.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and a securely hashed password when you create an account.
- Content you create — voice recordings, their transcripts, text memos, and the tasks, lists, subtasks, and reminders generated from them.
- Usage information — counts of your monthly captures (used to enforce the free plan's limits) and basic subscription status.
Microphone access is used only while you are actively recording a memo. Notification permissions are used to schedule reminders on your device.
How we use your information
- To provide the core service: transcribing your voice memos and using AI to convert them into structured tasks, due dates, and reminders.
- To operate your account, enforce plan limits, and process subscriptions.
- To respond when you contact support.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content for advertising.
Service providers
To provide the service, your content is processed by a small number of providers acting on our behalf:
- OpenAI and/or Anthropic — audio transcripts and text memos are sent to these AI providers to generate transcriptions and structured tasks. They process this data to provide the service to us.
- RevenueCat — manages subscription status. Payment details are handled by Apple or Google; we never see your card number.
Data retention and deletion
Your data is retained while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account inside the app, which permanently removes your account, memos, recordings, transcripts, tasks, and lists. Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using reasonable safeguards.
Children
Unpact is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update this page and revise the date above.
